Expert appointed by MUR within the Strategic Programme Committee (ShSPC) of Horizon Europe (HE) for the Cluster “Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment”. Member of the Accademia dei Georgofili. Member of the Multistakeholder Advisory Committee of the Sustainable Food Systems Programme “One Planet” and Focal Point of the Memorandum of Understanding between FAO and Italian EPRs. Member of the MIUR National Coordination Group for the European initiative PRIMA and delegate to the Coordination of European Platforms for the national Agri-Food Technological Cluster C.L.AN. Member of the Technical Scientific Committee of the AgroFood BIC startup accelerator, promoted by Granarolo with several leading companies in the Italian agro-industrial system. Referee editor for the journal “Frontiers in Nutrition and Environmental Sustainability”. His main field of interest is the application of new methodologies and technologies for the sustainability of production and consumption models in agri-food systems, focusing on circular bioeconomy.
